Her research has been published in high impact-factor journals, including The Lancet Oncology, American Journal of Public Health, Health Psychology, Waste Management, and Science of the Total Environment. She has published three books with Palgrave MacMillan and Springer on her research; in fact, she was one of the first people to use a qualitative research textbook in her environmental health class. She has also guided students worldwide on qualitative methodology and has been instrumental to helping them publish their research.
